“Nalwodi 1999” –Is the very first Eagle sculpture that started everything in1999. Original is in a private collection. Inquire for bronze availably.
“Nalwodi 2000” – Was his largest of all sculptures and was embraced on the cover of the Mesa Press Magazine. Regrettably, it was broken during a move in 2009, but someday he will bring him back. This was very heartbreaking to him and didn’t find his hands in plaster again for years.
“Nalwodi Tribute to 9/11” – The most powerful sculpture in the artist’s collection 2001. Original is in a private collection. Inquire for bronze availably.
“Nalwodi Wolf 2004” – Chato has a love for wolves and was spending much time at the wolf reserves playing his flutes to them. The young wolf had patina in bronze capturing his peaceful stride into his new journey. Private collection
“Nalwodi 2014” – The sculpture which woke up the heart of this eagle warrior! It blew wind under his wings and then soared back into sculpture 2 years after his brain anuysresum surgery. This sculpture started the Golden Eagle awards embracing the initial vision and a short film was produced while creating the priceless sculpture. Currently on loan to the Sacramento State Capitol 2nd floor rotunda Honoring California Native American Heritage Day 2018.
“Nalwodi Wave 2014” – This is truly one of his favorite sculptures since it’s an eagle feather riding an ocean wave. He felt so tuned in while bringing it to life, it reminded him of his time in the ocean. It’s in the collection of Gene Locklear.
The “Nalwodi” Golden Eagle Awards at the San Diego International Film Festival (2014-2019). Artist Chato first inspects each Mable resin cast Sculpture. He then began a 10-hour process for each award achieving the lustrous golden-bronze patina. For the 2nd Editions he then physically mounted each individual Sculptural artwork before delivering to the San Diego International Film Festival. They are now in the hands of over 111 collectors in the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia, Oceania, South America, Central America, Turkey, Africa, Turkey, and others. The two plaster-paris originals are in the private collection of art collector Kelly Bayless Kupfer. Artist Chato has in his personal Collection the very 1st sample sculptures cast from the mold for each year’s Golden Eagle editions. These are specially signed and in his private collection to be available in the future. These Eagle Awards are no longer available and the molds have been destroyed for both editions. The Nalwodi 1st Edition was the majestic Eagle with the wave awarded in the years 2014-2016. In the collection of – Annette Bening, Kate Beckinsale, Adrian Brody, Ann Hamilton, Geena Davis, Jason Mitchell, Alan Arkin, Simon Helberg, Saginaw Grant, Kweku Mandela, John Boyega and many filmmakers across the world.
The Nalwodi 2nd Edition was the majestic Eagle with the feather awarded in the years 2017-2019. In the collection of- Sir Patrick Stewart, Kenny Loggins, Heather Graham, Kathryn Hahn, Keith Carradine, Blake Jenner, Kumail Nanjiani, Taran Killam, and many filmmakers across the world.
2020 – Currently working on two new Nalwodi sculptures. Artist Ruben Chato is known for his low number castings. They are determined in the same uniformity as his fine art prints which are set by his birthday. He will be casting 11 or 111 sculptures from his personal collections. His personal non-commission sculptures are to be casted in Bronze, Marble resin or other materials.
